    Still breathing...
    Thank goodness I'm still breathing!

I don't know what I'd do if I missed any of these beautiful Oregon mornings. The fog hovers above the hills, the southerly sunlight warms the soul and the rain cleanses and replenishes the mind. Oh, sorry, too much?

Anyway, I've made some progress here for those who are keeping up. I'm teaching at a local studio East 2 West Studios, working on a new piece for solo percussion, and am about to take a few days to visit New York City and the concrete jungle. Pike-Publishing was not working very well for me. I needed something more general, so I created a new site, Pike-Music.com. It's a quick view into my world.

Other than that, I hope everyone had a great Halloween. Ciao.

A new one from the least expected! I uploaded my new pages to my new site. Pike-Publishing.com is live and today I'm sending out information packets to all the area band directors. Wish me luck. Visit Here. Be the first to email me from there.

    new entries
If anyone wishes to read any new entry material, then please click here. I've had this far longer than any live journal, and since I have had a lot to think about lately I'd rather not make it so 'public'. Anyway, feel free if you're a friend or interested to check it out. Thanks.

I still don't get the fascination with Live Journal. Matt just posts random stuff, nobody seems to care; Gabie posts even more random stuff (notice "more" is modifying random and not indicating an amount), and I don't even see Richard posting at all. Maybe he's opened up his eyes a bit...oh wait, he has a job that will soon begin with a "C" for Career. Brian actually is trying to make some sense of this thing, but I've seen how much time this takes up for everyone and I think if you got up and did something about your problems instead of just forming words to seek pity from the rest of us, then you might be happier people. Otherwise just email me, I would love to hear from all of you. :)

And that is how you rant! Just to let everyone know I'm not above them, I did it here.

I know I've always been pessimistic about this internet communication thing, and hell don't get me started on cell phones, but you guys need to get together more often after work and drink beer and put more attention into working while you're at work, or getting jobs if you have none. (Brian is excluded)

So, now you can actually have something to discuss. A serious matter on which most of you will ignore because it bothers you knowing that someone sees right through your little pity-party you post about every day, and others will add worthless comments to which I will ignore because they contemplate why I might be ranting so, only one or two of you will comment with something that would be meaningful. If you would like to be one of those people, then consider, in length, the possibility of my statement above, otherwise don't bother.

    Happy posting!

    First Time!!
This is my first entry and I can't sleep because of the party going on upstairs. Fun, huh? Well, that's it.
